I've been on Balversa 3mg Tablet for a few months now, and I wanted to share my experience with this medication used to treat bladder cancer with FGFR gene changes. As described, it's a pill and works by blocking signals that cancer cells need to grow and spread. However, I've had some side effects. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced similar issues or has any insight on how to manage them. It's great that this medication can help with a form of cancer and is taken orally, but the side effects are sometimes intense. The urgent side effects are scary—anyone else feel like they're constantly on the lookout for those?

Good to see this being discussed. My partner was on this for a while. Dry skin, dry mouth, and some constipation were mostly what we dealt with. Not fun, but manageable. Hearing about the eye changes worries me.

What's the biggest lesson for those going to start on Balversa? Don't be afraid to talk to your doctor. I'm not sure it's worth it to avoid all the side effects by stopping. I guess it depends on the individual, but I think it's about being as informed as possible and advocating for yourself. Overall, I feel hopeful.

I've had some issues with skin changes and nail changes. It looks like the side effects are seemingly endless!! Any tips on managing nail and skin changes? I've also noticed changes in my eyesight, but my doc told me that these side effects can happen, and it's because the medication needs to be as effective as it can be to stop the cancer. But I am wondering how long they can last, and if they go away once you stop taking it.

I'm so glad to see everyone talking about this. We need more openness and support in these forums. The side effects are rough, but knowing we're not alone helps. Maybe we can keep sharing tips and experiences as we go along.

I'm glad you're sharing your experience. I just started Balversa and have had some nausea and fatigue. Nothing too bad, but it's concerning. I hope it gets better.

I had a urinary tract infection a few weeks back, and it was terrifying. I had to go to the hospital, and it turned out to be a UTI. It sucks that this is a possible side effect, but I'm glad I knew what to look out for. Also, the electrolyte problems are no joke. I've had muscle cramps that were so bad I could barely move. My doctor gave me some tips on managing it, but it's been a struggle. Just stay vigilant and watch for any changes.
