I've been taking Banophen (diphenhydramine 25mg) for my seasonal allergies, and it's been helping with the sneezing and runny nose. However, I've noticed that it makes me extremely drowsy, which is both good and bad. Good because it helps me sleep, but bad because I feel groggy the next day. Has anyone else experienced this? What about using it for motion sickness? I'm thinking of taking it on an upcoming road trip to see if it helps with that. Also, what should I do if I experience side effects like feeling less alert than usual? I've heard it can cause some irritating side effects that are more than mild. So, are there any alternatives that do the job without the drowsiness and side effects that can be managed? I'm looking for a more natural alternative. Please share your experiences and advice if you’ve used Banophen for these reasons. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, if you have a bit more time to spare, try the Mediterranean diet for a while. I've seen that it helps with allergies quite a bit and it's healthier for you in general. It can take a while for the effects to show, but it's worth it if you can stick to it.

I actually found that taking a hot shower with essential oils helps me with allergies. It’s totally natural and I don’t have to deal with that groggy feeling the next day. It’s worth a shot if you can’t handle the side effects of Banophen.

What about trying Melatonin or Zzzquil? Would those work better? I’ve never had a great experience with Banophen.

I always get a thick mucus in the back of my throat when I take it.

I use Banophen for allergies and it works great, but I always feel so groggy the next day. I've started taking it only at night so it doesn't affect my daytime activities. It's a bit of a trade-off, but worth it for the allergy relief.

Banophen is a lifesaver for me during allergy season. I make sure to take it before bed so I sleep through the worst of the symptoms. But I also experience a dry mouth and throat in the morning, which is a little annoying. Are there any natural remedies that anyone knows that can help with allergies? I'm trying to avoid medications as much as I can.
