Been taking Verapamil ER 100mg Caps PM (24 hr) for a few months. Anyone else experience any weird side effects?
I've been taking Verapamil ER 100mg Caps PM (24 hr) for a few months now to manage my high blood pressure and it seems to be working well. However, I've noticed some constipation and a bit of dizziness on occasion. I know these are listed as possible side effects, but I was hoping to hear from others who might be experiencing the same thing. I also have some chest pain and I wanted to know if anyone had any experience with that or if this medication helped alleviate it for them. This is long-term medication and I am trying to figure out if I should make any changes or adjustments to my diet. I also wanted to know if anyone has any experience with long term use of this medication. Is this a good drug? Is there any expert opinion on this drug?

I've been on Verapamil for a while now, and I've had some issues with constipation too. I've found that increasing my fiber intake and drinking more water helps a lot. Hang in there!
I was worried about taking this because of the side effects, but my doctor said it's usually well-tolerated. Just listen to your body and talk to your doctor if anything feels off.
I started feeling really tired and had dark urine when I started taking this. I talked to my doctor and they ran some tests. Apparently, it can affect your liver.
I've been on this med for years and it's been great for my blood pressure. Just make sure to get regular check-ups with your doctor.
I've heard that Verapamil can interact with certain foods and other medications. Make sure to check with your doctor about what you should avoid.
