I was prescribed Belsomra 15mg tablets for my insomnia. This medicine works by blocking certain brain chemicals that keep you awake, helping you fall and stay asleep. However, I've experienced some side effects that I'm curious to hear about. I've had a few episodes of muscle weakness, which can be worrying. The package insert also mentions potentially serious side effects, some of which I've heard of but haven't seen, like confusion or hallucinations. How many of you have tried this medication for insomnia? Have you experienced any of these side effects? What other treatments have you tried, and how effective were they for you?

Belsomra worked great for me. However, I had some issues with morning headaches. Not sure if it was from sleeping through the night or from the medication. Switching from 15mg to 5mg tablets and it feels like it is the same. I know I am not the only one with this problem..

I had a terrifying experience with Belsomra. I woke up one morning and couldn't move or speak for almost a minute. It was like my body was paralyzed. I stopped taking it immediately and haven't had any issues since. I've also been researching some other natural supplements for insomnia. I've never had side effects like this from other sleep aids, so that was especially scary.

I've been on Belsomra for a few months now, and it's been a game-changer for me. I wake up feeling refreshed and ready for the day

I have never heard of having trouble breathing or swallowing. That is really scary. Anybody else experience this? I'd never take something like that

I'm curious how Belsomra compares to other insomnia meds. I've tried Ambien and Lunesta before, but the side effects were brutal. Any recommendations for other medications? Maybe I should try some natural remedies for insomnia first. I’ve been doing a pretty good job getting my sleep schedule back on track.

I’ve heard some scary stories about this medication and the side effects are a huge turn-off. I’ve been considering other treatment options for my insomnia.

I wish I had known about the muscle weakness side effect before starting Belsomra. It’s really scary to suddenly not be able to move or speak. I’m tapering off and will try something different.

I’ve been using Belsomra for a couple of weeks, and it’s been a lifesaver. No serious side effects so far. I will be monitoring closely.

I had no idea Belsomra could cause hallucinations! Thanks for sharing. I think I’ll stick to my sleep schedule and maybe try relaxation techniques before considering any medication.
