Benazepril is an ACE inhibitor used to manage high blood pressure and heart-related conditions. I've been on Benazepril 40mg tablets for a few months now, and while my blood pressure has improved, I'm starting to wonder about the side effects I've been experiencing. Has anyone else had issues with persistent cough or dizziness? How have you managed them? Here are some of the urgent side effects to watch out for: severe dizziness, fainting, persistent cough, and signs of kidney problems, among others.

Be very careful with this stuff. I ended up in the hospital with severe kidney issues after starting Benazepril. The doctor said it was a rare side effect, but it’s not something to mess around with. Always stay in touch with your healthcare provider.

I think coughing is pretty common with ACE inhibitors. My aunt was on this for a while and couldn’t handle it. She switched to lisinopril and had no issues. But for me, it's manageable.

Benazepril has been a lifesaver for my heart failure. The dizziness was a bit annoying at first, but I just made sure to stay hydrated. I mean, I get it, it’s tricky, but it’s worth it. Plus, the other side effects are so rare.

I've been on Benazepril for a year and haven't experienced any serious side effects. Just a bit of dizziness in the beginning, but it went away after a few weeks. Just make sure to take it at the same time every day. It really helps with managing my blood pressure.

I've had it for a few months and have noticed no issues at all. I mean, I wished I hadn’t read this post since it’s freaking me out a bit. But, maybe it’s just me and I’ll stick it out. I feel fine, so I’m not too worried.

Oh, yeah, persistent cough was a no-go for me. The first time I had it, I felt like I was dying. Ended up switching to another medicine and everything was fine. It’s a bit of a bummer, but it's all about finding what works best for you.
