I've been prescribed Benazepril 5mg Tablets for my high blood pressure and heart failure. I'm curious to hear from others who are taking it. What side effects have you experienced? How has it affected your daily life? Any tips for managing side effects like dizziness or cough? Has anyone had any serious side effects and how were they handled? I'm looking for both positive and negative experiences to better understand what to expect.

Definitely monitor your potassium levels. I had some issues with high potassium because of Benazepril, and my doctor had to adjust my diet and meds. Stay on top of your kidney function as well since it can affect those systems.

You can report any side effects directly to the FDA – it’s important to document these things for the community as a whole. Helps others make informed decisions in the future.

Wow, some of these side effects sound scary. I’m glad I haven’t had any major issues. Just a little headache sometimes, but it’s manageable.

I’ve heard some people say that Benazepril can cause a dry cough. Is this something that went away with time - is it something specific that was fixed by doctors?

I've been on Benazepril for six months and it has made a huge difference in my blood pressure. I did experience some dizziness at first, but it went away after a few weeks. Drinking lots of water helped a lot. Highly recommend it.

I had some issues with side effects when I started taking Benazepril. It's really important to talk to your doctor about any concerns. They can adjust your dosage or switch you to a different medication if needed.

This is just a reminder to always stay hydrated if you are taking these pills. It helps with the dizziness folks are talking about.

Coughing can be a pain, but Benazepril is more serious stuff. Just follow up with your doctor regularly and you should be fine. It’s worth the benefits but do make sure you’re aware of the side effects...

I was on Benazepril for a while and it worked great for my blood pressure, but the persistent cough was a real pain. My doctor switched me to a different medication and it was better for me.
