I just started Bendamustine 100mg Inj for my CLL. I've read about the potential side effects, but I'm wondering if anyone here has some practical tips on managing them. What helped you get through the tougher days? I'm particularly concerned about the fluid and electrolyte imbalance and want to know if anyone has experience with that. Any insights or advice would be much appreciated!

I lost my appetite completely in the beginning. I found that eating smaller, more frequent meals helped. Also, my doctor had me take anti-nausea meds before the infusion which was a game-changer

Bendamustine is tough, but manageable. I found that resting a lot was key. Don't push yourself too hard. I had to stop working for a while, which was tough emotionally and financially but essential

Don’t forget to monitor your temperature closely. Fever can be a sign of infection, which is a serious complication with this chemo drug

Stay hydrated and keep a close eye on your electrolytes. I used to drink electrolyte drinks and eat a balanced diet to help with that. Worked for me!

My nurse told me that if the infusion site gets irritated, to inform them immediately. I had a few blisters but caught them early and it wasn’t too bad.

I can't believe how tough this is. Feeling weak and tired all the time. How long did it take you guys to feel back to normal?
