I've been taking Benicar 40mg Tablets for about six months now to manage my high blood pressure. As someone who has tried other medications before, I find the side effects are manageable, but I'm curious how they compare to other medications on the market. I've heard that Benicar can cause severe diarrhea but has anyone experienced this? I've been fortunate to avoid that specific side effect, but I've noticed some dizziness, which can be a bit concerning. Has anyone else had experiences with this medication, and how do they compare it to other blood pressure meds? In particular, are there any other meds that work similarly but with fewer side effects? The severity of side effects is something I want to discuss with my doctor, but any insights from others would be helpful before my next appointment.

I switched to Benicar from Lisinopril and I've noticed a big difference. The dizziness is more pronounced with Benicar, but my blood pressure has been way more stable. Have you tried adjusting your diet to see if that helps with the dizziness?

I switched from Benicar to Losartan and the side effects were much milder. Might be worth considering if the dizziness becomes unbearable.

Ya mine made me weak, dizzy and tired. I think it may be worth switching meds if you're having side effects. What does your cardiologist say about the risks and benefits? Definitely talk with them before changing anything.

My doctor prescribed me Benicar after I had problems with other blood pressure medications. The dizziness is annoying, but I've heard it can go away with time. It's worth sticking with it if it's controlling your blood pressure effectively.
