I've been on Benlysta for a few months now to manage my lupus, and while it seems to be helping with the symptoms, I'm a bit worried about the potential side effects. The urgent ones listed are scary, and I'm not sure if I'm overreacting or if I should be more concerned. Has anyone else experienced any of these issues or have tips on managing the minor side effects? I'd love to hear some personal stories and advice!

For the trouble sleeping, I found that taking Benlysta in the morning helped. It seems to wear off by the night, so sleep is better. Just a thought to help you manage the side effects.

I had a friend who got PML from Benlysta. It was devastating. Make sure you're aware of the symptoms and report anything even remotely concerning to your doctor.

I've been lucky with Benlysta so far. No major side effects, and it's really helped with the flare-ups. Just make sure to get regular check-ups to stay on top of things.

I had a really bad reaction to Benlysta. I developed severe hives and swollen lips. I ended up in the ER, and they told me to stop taking it immediately. Be careful and keep an eye out for those allergic reactions.

I just started Benlysta and I'm terrified of the side effects. How long did it take for you all to feel comfortable with the medication?

I've been on Benlysta for over a year now, and while I've had some minor side effects like headaches and trouble sleeping, nothing too severe. Just make sure to stay in touch with your doctor and report anything unusual.
