I've been prescribed Bentyl 10mg Capsules for my irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. The medication is supposed to help with cramps and pain, but I've heard horror stories about the side effects. Has anyone else tried this? I'm wondering if the benefits outweigh the risks. I'm particularly concerned about the serious side effects like hallucinations, memory problems, and mood changes. Anyone have any insights or advice on how to manage these potential issues? I'd love to hear about your experiences, both good and bad!

Seriously, the dry mouth is the worst. I keep a water bottle with me at all times now. It's a small price to pay for the relief from cramps, though.

I found that taking Bentyl with food helped a lot with the upset stomach side effect. Just a tip if you're struggling with that.

I've been on Bentyl for a while now, and it's been a game-changer for my IBS symptoms. The side effects were a bit rough at first—mostly dizziness and dry mouth—but they subsided after a week or two. Definitely worth it for the relief it brings.

I had a bad reaction to Bentyl. I experienced hallucinations and memory loss. It was terrifying. I had to stop taking it immediately. Be very careful with this one.

I had a really bad experience with dizziness and couldn’t take it anymore. I’m trying something else now.

I had no idea Bentyl could cause such serious side effects. I'm glad I read this thread before starting it. Thanks for the heads-up!

I'm curious—has anyone else noticed changes in vision? I've been having trouble with blurred vision and it's a bit concerning.

I wish more people talked about the long-term effects. I've been on it for months and I'm worried about what happens if I stop taking it.

I'm on my third week and so far, so good. No major side effects, just a bit of drowsiness. Fingers crossed it stays this way!

I think the biggest issue is that the side effects can vary so much from person to person. It's tough to know what to expect.
