I started my son on Benznidazole 100mg Tablets to treat his Chagas disease diagnosis. So far, it's been a rollercoaster. I want to share our experience and see if any other parents have gone through similar challenges. What are some common side effects you've seen? Any tips for managing them? I know it's crucial to finish the full course, but I'm worried about the potential side effects listed, especially the severe ones. Has anyone had experience with these? What should I do if my son starts showing signs of an allergic reaction or other serious conditions? I need all the help I can get to navigate this

Stay strong! It’s tough, but it’s worth it. My niece had a similar journey. She experienced some nerve issues but they resolved slowly after stopping. Sudden weight loss was tough to manage, so make sure to keep a close eye on nutrition and diet. Just remember to trust your doctor and the process.

I can't believe how much this drug can affect people. I remember when I got a sinus infection from this. For the record, I think Benznidazole is the worst. I would rather have a tooth removed before I take this again. But hey, I know we all have to do it, so best of luck to you!

I'm so sorry to hear about your son. Benznidazole can be tough, but it's important to stick to the doctor’s orders. My daughter had some stomach issues, but we managed it with smaller, more frequent meals. Be vigilant about the severe side effects, but remember, they are rare. Hang in there!

Stay vigilant about the nerve problems. I had a friend whose kid had awful numbness. They had to stop treatment for a week to recover, but it eventually went away. Just makes me worry about what could happen for the long-term outcome.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Can anyone confirm the nerve issues? My son's doctor mentioned the possibility. I'm hoping this medication isn't going to be worse than the infection.

I have heard these side effects might go down after the treatment is over. I guess we just have to wait for everyone to get over this hump.
