I started using Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5% Gel 60gm a few months ago to treat my persistent acne. Initially, I was a bit hesitant because I had heard about the potential side effects like skin dryness and peeling. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how effective it was. I did experience some dryness and peeling, especially in the first week, but it was manageable. I make sure to moisturize regularly and use it every other day to give my skin a break. So far, my acne has improved significantly, and I'm glad I gave this treatment a chance. I'm curious to hear from others who have used this gel. What are your experiences and tips for managing side effects? Also, has anyone else noticed a difference in effectiveness between different brands?

I went to my dermatologist and she recommended this. It’s a bit harsh on the skin, but it does work. Just be patient and keep up with your skincare routine.

Has anyone tried mixing the gel with a bit of aloe vera gel to reduce the irritation? Might help with the dryness.

I tried this gel and had a terrible allergic reaction. Swelling, hives, the works. Seeking medical help was absolutely necessary. I can't stress enough the importance of being cautious and listening to your body.

I've been using this for a while and it's been a lifesaver. Be patient with the initial dryness, it gets better.

I prefer using a lower concentration like 5%, which seems to work just as well without the harsh side effects.

Just started using it. Is it normal to have some burning sensation? I'm worried I might be having a reaction.
