Has anyone here used Benzoyl Peroxide 5% Gel for acne? I've been struggling with acne for a while and decided to give this a try. I've heard it can be quite effective but also causes a lot of skin irritation. What has your experience been like? Any tips for minimizing side effects? Has anyone had any serious reactions? I'm really curious to hear from anyone who has used this medication and what they think about it.

I switched from the gel to the cream because my skin was too sensitive and it was a game changer. The cream felt less harsh on my skin.

It can be pretty drying, so I make sure to moisturize well afterwards. Definitely worth it though, my skin has cleared up a lot. Just be patient, it takes a few weeks to see real results.

Tell me about it. I used it when I was a teen, and it worked like a charm. The irritation was worth it

I just started using it. It’s too soon to tell if it’s making a difference, but I’ll keep at it.

I found that using a gentle cleanser and applying the gel every other night helped a lot with the irritation. It's not a miracle cure, but it's definitely helped.

I've been using Benzoyl Peroxide 5% Gel for a couple of months now, and it's helped a lot with my acne.

I had an allergic reaction to it and had to go to the doctor. My face was red and swelling and it was really scary.

I had a really bad reaction to it. My skin got really red and started peeling. I had to stop using it. Definitely consult a doctor if you experience anything like that.

I think the key is to start with a lower concentration and gradually build up to the 5% if you need to. That way your skin has time to adjust. Also, using a light moisturizer helped me out a lot.
