Benztropine 1mg Tablets: Effective for Parkinson's Symptoms but What About the Side Effects?
I've been prescribed Benztropine 1mg Tablets to help with the tremors and stiffness I've been experiencing due to Parkinson's. The medication seems to be helping, but I've been worried about the potential side effects, especially the more serious ones. Has anyone else experienced any of the urgent side effects listed, like changes in eyesight or trouble swallowing? I've also heard about the potential for severe constipation. Any tips on how to manage that? I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who has used this medication and can share their experiences. It can be a bit scary dealing with serious side effects.

I switched from Benztropine to another drug because of the constipation. It was so bad I ended up in the ER. Definitely talk to your doctor about alternatives if you start having that problem
Serious question: how does Benztropine compare to other medications for Parkinson's? I've heard good things but also some scary stuff about side effects.
If you experience any of the urgent side effects, don't mess around. Go to the ER. Better safe than sorry.
I actually find that the Benztropine makes me feel a bit too relaxed sometimes. Like I'm walking around in a daze. Anyone else experience this?
I was really worried about the hallucinations side effect, but my doctor assured me it's rare. Just keep an eye out and talk to your doctor if you notice anything weird
Benztropine helped me a lot at first, but I ended up having to stop because of the weird mental changes I was experiencing. It was like I was in a constant state of anxiety.
I take Benztropine for drug-induced extrapyramidal symptoms. It's helped a lot with the muscle spasms. Only downside is feeling a bit nervous sometimes but nothing unbearable
I've been on Benztropine for a few months now, and honestly, the side effects have been manageable for me. The biggest issue I've had is dry mouth, but I just keep a water bottle handy. Never experienced any of the urgent side effects, so I think I'm lucky there. Hope you don't run into any serious issues!
I've had no issue with it, knock on wood. Make sure you're staying hydrated, though. That can help with a lot of the side effects.
Just started Benztropine last week. Knock on wood, no side effects so far. Hopefully it stays that way.
