Best Hotels in Kotor: Where to Stay for the Perfect Montenegro Experience
I'm planning a trip to Kotor, Montenegro, and I'm trying to decide on the perfect place to stay. I've narrowed it down to a few hotels but would love to hear from those who have visited before. What are the top hotels in Kotor? I'm looking for a mix of comfort, great views, and proximity to the Old Town. Any recommendations or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated! Also, any tips on avoiding tourist traps would be helpful. Thanks in advance!

For budget travelers, consider the Hostel Montana. It's clean, has a great atmosphere, and is close to everything. Plus, the staff is super friendly.
One tip for Kotor—make sure to book a boat tour to Our Lady of the Rocks. It's one of the most beautiful spots in the area.
I disagree with the previous comments—hotels can be pricey in Kotor. Consider renting a private apartment through Airbnb. I got a much more authentic experience and great value.
I heard good things about the Hotel Kotor but haven't stayed there myself. Anyone have any experiences to share?
If you're looking for luxury, the Hotel Monte Cristo is the way to go. It's a bit further from the Old Town but offers a fantastic spa and excellent dining options. Perfect for a relaxing getaway.
Forza Terra is great but if you want to stay right in the heart of the Old Town, check out the Hotel Villa Marina. It's a bit smaller but has a lot of charm and great service.
I stayed at Hotel Villa Lumiere and was very disappointed. The room was tiny and the service was subpar. Definitely not worth the price.
Absolutely agree with the Airbnb suggestion. You can find some amazing places with stunning views and local hospitality. Just make sure to read the reviews carefully.
