I've been using Betamethasone Dip Aug 0.05% Gel for a couple of weeks now to treat my eczema, and I've had some mixed experiences. The gel has definitely helped reduce the redness and itching, but I've also noticed some side effects like skin irritation and thinning. I'm curious if anyone else has experienced similar issues and how they've managed them. I'm also wondering about the long-term use of this medication. Is it safe? Can I expect more severe side effects down the line? I've read about some pretty scary possibilities. I would love to hear some advice. I guess I am just looking for some reassurance.

I had a friend who used this and ended up with a weird rash all over their body. Turns out it was an allergic reaction. Definitely something to watch out for.

I've been on this for months and haven't had any issues. Make sure you're not using too much and avoid sensitive areas. Hope that helps!

I think the burning and stinging is normal, but if it gets worse, talk to your doctor. That's what they're there for. Hope you feel better soon!

I've used a similar steroid cream and noticed some thinning of my skin. Not a big deal for me, but it's definitely something to be aware of. Thanks for the heads-up!

I had a bad experience with this. I thought I had something much worse than eczema. My skin became paper-thin. I've switched to natural remedies now. Night and day difference.

I had a bad reaction to this stuff. Swelled up like a balloon and broke out in hives. I'd say that's worth a trip to the ER. Will stick to my regular cream from now on.

Did you try any natural remedies or home treatments before going the steroid route? I'm looking for something a bit lighter to try first.

Did your doctor explain about tapered use? You shouldn't use this to treat flare-ups or long-term. Not good to have all the side effects.

I have found that this gel has helped a lot. I have eczema and I've been using various creams and lotions, but this seems to be the most effective.

I've had really good luck with it. Skin looks better, and it only stings a bit at first. I don’t think that’s too bad for the results. Thank you for sharing your concerns!
