I've been using Bensons Bottom Paint Cream 56.7gm for my baby's diaper rash, and while it's been effective, I noticed some worrying side effects. I experienced severe skin irritation and hives after using it for a few days. Has anyone else had similar issues? I'm concerned about the potential for a severe allergic reaction. Is this a common side effect, and should I stop using it immediately? I want to make sure my baby is safe, but I also want to ensure any rash is resolved.

Check the ingredients for anything you might be allergic to. They have a helpline you can call, right? Good luck!

I've been using Bensons for a while and never had any issues. I recommend trying a different brand to see if it helps. There is always a slight chance of an allergic reaction no matter what you use. Any change in your baby's skin will have you running to the doctor, it's best to do some research first.

Call your doctor immediately. An allergic reaction can become severe and life-threatening quickly. I went through something similar with an ointment and it was scary. Better safe than sorry. Once I got a clean bill of health I tried Desitin, which works well and we've had no issues since!

I had to stop using it too because my baby had a bad skin reaction. The doctor recommended a different cream and that solved the problem. Side effects are scary, but you'll find something that works.

I noticed some minor itching when I used it, but nothing severe. Makes me wonder if you might be reacting to something else in the environment.

If you think it's an allergic reaction, you need to stop using it immediately. The FDA wants you to report it to them at 1-800-332-1088. They can then keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't happen to other babies.
