I've recently been prescribed Bleomycin for my lymphoma treatment. I know it's a powerful chemo drug that can have some serious side effects, but I'm curious about what others have experienced. I've read that it can cause some nasty skin irritation and other issues, but I want to know more about how to manage these side effects. Anyone out there with experience using Bleomycin? What should I expect, and how can I best prepare for the side effects?

My mom had testicular cancer and used this. She had a pretty bad allergic reaction after the 2nd dose. You have to be really careful and catch any side effects early on because they can be life-threatening.

This sounds rough. I’m really sorry you’re going through this. Stay strong and hope everything goes well for you. If it’s not gonna work, maybe they can try something else. Good luck!

Bleomycin can be tough, but it's effective for certain cancers. I had it for testicular cancer, and yes, it was rough, but I got through it. Stay on top of your symptoms and keep your healthcare team informed. I made sure to apply aloe vera gel to skin irritation and it really helped.

Ugh, I had a friend who went through this. He had some nasty skin reactions and hair loss. But he also talked about stomach problems... Definitely talk to your doctor about ways to manage these side effects.

I had a really bad reaction to Bleomycin. I got hives and itching all over my body, and it was really scary. I ended up in the hospital, and they had to stop the treatment. It's great if it works for others, but please be careful and monitor closely.

I work in oncology and I've seen a lot of patients on Bleomycin. Some handle it well, but many struggle with the side effects. Communication with your healthcare team is key. They can adjust doses or switch medications if needed. Drink a lot of water and listen to your body.

I feel bad for you man. Stay strong and let your doc know any side effects you get. They can help.

Oh my, I hope you’re okay! I had it for the same reason and it was rough, but I had some good days and bad days. I had a lot of mouth sores and that was the worst. My advice is to keep any cuts very clean, to avoid infection.
