I recently had a procedure where Bludigo 8mg/1ml Inj, 5ml was used. It's a blue dye that helps doctors see parts of the urinary system more clearly. My urine turned blue for a short time after the injection, which was a bit unsettling but normal. I've heard about some potential side effects, so I'm curious if anyone else has had experience with this medication? How long did your urine stay blue? Did you experience any side effects, and if so, what did you do? Also, what exactly causes the urine to turn blue? Is it just the dye passing through your system, or is there more to it?

My doctor explained that the dye helps highlight the urinary system so they can see any issues more clearly. It's like a contrast agent for X-rays. I was surprised at how quickly my urine changed color. It went from clear to a deep blue within an hour or so!

I had this dye used during my kidney procedure last year. Mine turned greenish-blue. It was weird looking in the toilet but harmless. I had a brief stomach ache but nothing serious. Stomach pains are common with any injection, especially for a dye like this. I just toughed it out and told my doctor about it. I'm sure if it happened to anyone regularly the doc would have you stop using Bludigo.

Seriously, if you see a rash or hives, get to a doctor soon. Allergic reactions can be serious, even deadly. Better to be safe!

Bludigo is amazing for imaging but it's too bad it's not a permanent dye! Imagine never losing anything in your bladder again!

I was worried about the blue urine, but the doctor assured me it was normal. I actually found it kind of fascinating to watch the color change over the next day or two. It's fascinating how the body processes these dyes – I would love to know more about the science behind it. It resolves after 48 hours, so the worst is quickly over.

I might not want the dye in me but it's fascinating how it works. I wonder if it's similar to how food dyes work. The cool part is that it doesn't actually stain your body or organs, it's just for imaging.

If you're experiencing any chest pain or abnormal heartbeat, do NOT hesitate to call 911. These are serious symptoms and they can get worse quickly.

I had a procedure with Bludigo and my urine turned blue for about 24 hours. I had a bit of an upset stomach, but nothing too bad. Overall, it was a smooth experience. Just make sure to stay hydrated and follow your doctor's instructions. I don't think I would be bothered by any of the side effects, as my doctor was very clear about the whole process. Just don't be surprised when you go to the toilet and see blue. It's weird but harmless.
