I've been prescribed Bonjesta 20-20mg Tablets to help with morning sickness and I am wondering how effective this medication is and any potential side effects i may encounter?

This medication contains both doxylamine and pyridoxine, which are supposed to help with pregnancy nausea. Has anyone had experience with this med? I'm feeling curious about how it compares to other treatments or even just waiting it out, and what to expect in the coming weeks.

Usually, you take it at night, so it helps with nausea throughout the night and into the morning. But, I've also heard about the potential side effects like feeling sleepy. I'm supposed to be taking this med every night for the next month. Is it safe to take into the second trimester? What if my symptoms change?

I'd love to hear from anyone who's taken it or has advice. I want to make sure I'm making the right choice for managing my morning sickness.

If anyone has experience or insights, please share!

I’m really curious about how this compares to other remedies and medications out there. Has anyone tried ginger supplements or acupressure? Do they work as well? I find it interesting how these remedies are often touted, but I didn’t see any doctors recommending them over Bonjesta.

I’m pretty sure anyone who has taken Bonjesta knows about the whole day drowsiness thing. But it's far better than feeling constantly sick. It takes a bit of adjustment, but you get used to it. I'd rather feel sleepy than sick. So, yes, the drowsiness is a trade-off, but a worthwhile one for me.

I have a friend who took Bonjesta and she says she could sleep for 24 hours. Of course, she’d wake up feeling refreshed every day. She’s had no side effects and no nausea or vomiting. It really helped her with her morning sickness.

I tried Bonjesta and it made me feel like I was floating every single time I took it, but if you're going to choose between gnawing nausea and floating through life, well… the choice is yours. It was worth it for me to have a clear head when I had morning sickness.

I’m not convinced that Bonjesta would be my choice for myself but everyone is different so I hope this works.

I took Bonjesta during my first pregnancy and it was a lifesaver. The combination of doxylamine and pyridoxine worked wonders for my morning sickness. I remember feeling much better within a few days of starting the medication. Just be prepared for the drowsiness – it was definitely there, but manageable. I usually took it right before bed and slept through the night without any nausea. It’s safe to take into the second trimester, according to my doctor, but always consult with your healthcare provider first.

Initial thought when prescription was given: Oh no, more sleepiness? Didn't get any, though! just saw morning sickness escaping.

It’s so important to be mindful of any severe allergic reactions when starting a new medication. Just on the off chance that anyone doesn't know, it might be a good idea to keep a bottle of antihistamine in the house. I hope everyone's pregnancy journey is smooth and without side effects.

Sleeping pills are a no- no, I know. But doxylamine helps with nausea too so the drowsy feeling is worth it in comparison with what you got before. Good luck and stay healthy.
