I recently started taking Bosulif 400mg Tablets to treat my CML. It's been a bit of a journey so far, and I have some questions about side effects and long-term use. I've been taking it once a day with food as prescribed, and I've noticed some mild side effects like dizziness and stomach upset. I've also been reading about the potential for more serious side effects, and I'm wondering if anyone else has dealt with these or has advice on how to manage them. I've heard that some people experience fluid retention and heart problems, which is concerning. Has anyone else had these issues, and if so, how were they managed? Also, what are some common ways to mitigate the more minor side effects like dizziness and joint pain? I'd appreciate any insights or experiences you all might have.

Make sure to report any severe side effects right away. I had a friend who ended up in the hospital because she waited too long to seek help for some serious bleeding issues. We're all in this together.

I had horrible throat irritation and nose problems. It’s pretty rough, especially if you have to talk to people all day. Plus my doctor was no help. I received no help from my doctor.

Maybe consider talking to a nutritionist too. They can help tailor your diet to minimize some of the GI issues. I never did this but wish I had.

Very true. One thing I’ve learned is that staying hydrated and eating a balanced diet can help mitigate some of the side effects. Also, regular check-ups with your doctor are a must. They’ll monitor your electrolytes and kidney function to make sure you’re safe.

Bosulif (Bosutinib) is the worst drug I have ever taken. I was actually doing well on the drug but I am of the demographic that tends to have a higher rate of heart attacks. Biggest issue was the fluid retention too. Other than that it was ok.

Bosulif can be tough, but it's worth it for the control it gives over the cancer. I've had to deal with a lot of side effects, but my oncologist has been great at helping me manage them. Plus, it’s nice to know I’m fighting back against the disease.

I've had some real issues with bleeding and dizziness. The biggest one is how to handle it all when you have other people to take care of. That's a whole different set of problems.

I've been on Bosulif for about 6 months now, and while I've had some dizziness, it's mostly manageable. Just take it easy when you first start and see how your body reacts. Oh, and always eat something before taking it. Daily diet is key.

I had some serious kidney issues when I first started. My doctor ended up adjusting the dosage, and it's been much better since. Just make sure to keep an eye on your urine output and any changes in how you feel.
