Hi everyone, I've been prescribed Bpco Ointment 60gm for a minor burn and it's been working great so far. However, I've heard some horror stories about rare side effects, like severe skin irritation and allergic reactions. I'm a bit worried about these. Should I be? The stinging should go away after a few days. I had a friend who had a weird reaction to this on his face and went to the hospital. Started with itching all over his body, then his lips swelled up. Scary stuff. If you feel anything unusual, call your doctor.
I've used this ointment before for a burn, had a similar stinging issue, but no allergic reaction. Definitely keep an eye out for any rash or itching, and call your doctor if it gets worse.
As long as you don't have an allergic reaction, Bpco Ointment is pretty safe. I've used it a few times without any issues. Just make sure to follow the instructions and not use more than recommended.
I'm a nurse and I've seen patients have severe reactions to topical medications. It's not something to take lightly.
