I was recently prescribed Braftovi 75mg Capsules for my stage III melanoma. I've heard a lot about the side effects, including some serious ones, but I'm curious to know if anyone else has taken this medication and can share their experiences. I want to be prepared for potential issues like allergic reactions, bleeding, or neurological symptoms. I'm taking it in conjunction with other medications, so I'm hopeful that it will help, but worried about the side effects. If you’ve been on this medication, how did you manage any side effects? Also, do any on here have advice for dealing with high blood sugar or liver problems with this medication? Thanks in advance.

It's amazing how different people react to medications. I've seen patients who had hardly any side effects at all. Many people are able to tolerate it pretty well. Just remember, everyone's experience is unique, so don't get discouraged if you hear about someone who had it much worse.

I was on Braftovi for about six months. The dizziness and fatigue were tough, but manageable. My biggest concern was the potential for serious side effects like bleeding or liver problems. I had regular check-ups and blood tests, which helped a lot. There were a few times when I couldn't shake the feeling of 'brain fog', but it was a small price to pay for the treatment.

I really appreciated the dietitian’s advice on managing the side effects like nausea and changes in taste. Make sure to keep yourself hydrated and eat smaller, more frequent meals. It made a huge difference for me.

I managed the foot problems by using a good moisturizer and avoiding tight shoes. It helped keep the irritation at bay.

I think it's important to stick with the medication as long as your doctor says it's working. The serious side effects are rare, but if you do experience them, get to the doctor right away. It helped me to know that the benefits outweighed the risks

Best of luck to anyone starting Braftovi. The side effects can be tough, but the hope for remission is worth it.

So, how do you guys deal with the foot problems? I've heard that can be particularly nasty.

As a caregiver for someone on Braftovi, I can tell you that the emotional support is crucial. It's not just about the physical side effects but also about the mental toll. Be prepared for some mood swings, which can be pretty challenging.

I think it's important to talk to your doctor about the potential risks of high blood sugar. I was able to manage it with diet and exercise, but it's something to keep an eye on.
