This makes me wonder about some serious questions like what the long-term effects of Brethine are. The short-term side effects get talked about. I know everyone is different, but who has any info about the long-term effects? I'm really scared and I want to know.
Serious side effects are rare, but it's always better to be safe. Keep an eye on your blood pressure and blood sugar levels, and if you notice any unusual symptoms, don't hesitate to contact your doctor. It's better to be safe and proactive.
You can report side effects to the FDA you know. Just call 1-800-332-1088, no biggie. You can also go online to https://www.fda.gov/medwatch.. I did it. Not sure if they did anything, but I felt better knowing I reported it.
I've been taking Brethine for a few months now. I did have trouble feeling sleepy and dizzy. I don't think I'll call my doctor, I'll just wait and see if it gets worse.
I had a friend who had to go to the hospital because of severe dizziness and fasting heartbeat. Turns out he had a medial reaction to the meds. Had to discontinue taking them and switch to another one. If you feel any thing like this, don't waste any time, go to the ER.
It's a trade-off, but for me, the benefits outweigh the side effects. I have to say, feeling like I can breathe again is worth it and I have zero side effects. I can't speak for you, but for me Brethine is the best!
I am hoping this helps me too. My doctor said take it and see. I'm not looking forward to all the possible side effects, but he said I can't take asthma attacks anymore. I know I can't live like that, but I'm still scared.
That's interesting about the nervousness and shakiness. I've never had that. I have had issues with dizziness. It's a bit scary. I don't want to go to the ER. I just hope these side effects go away. I can't keep living like this.
