I recently underwent cataract surgery and was prescribed Bromfenac 0.09% Opth Sol 1.7ml to manage post-operative swelling, pain, and redness. As an NSAID, it's supposed to be effective, but I've had mixed feelings about the side effects. I'm curious if anyone else has experienced similar issues. The drops do seem to work, but the burning sensation and redness can be quite uncomfortable. Has anyone else had this issue, or am I just unlucky? I'm also worried about the rare but serious side effects listed. Has anyone had any issues like changes in eyesight, or did it go smoothly? Anyone else find this drop to be too expensive? I'm grateful for any insights or advice on managing these side effects or any alternatives.

I've had two cataract surgeries and used Bromfenac both times. No issues at all. I think you'll be fine. Maybe it's just a weird batch? I don't know. Keep us updated

I had some floaters after using Bromfenac, but my doctor said it was normal and would go away. It did, eventually. It was weird seeing them in my eye. It made me wonder what was wrong. But after a few days, I was back to normal. It's good to know it's happened to others. I was worried

I had a similar experience with Bromfenac. The burning sensation was awful at first, but it got better after a few days. Make sure to use the drops exactly as prescribed and keep them cool. You can store them in the fridge to help with the burning. If it's really bad, talk to your doctor about adjusting the dosage or switching to a different NSAID. I've only had good results with other NSAIDs I have tried in the past. Be sure to talk to your doctor if the sensation persists.

I'm glad to hear that most people don't experience serious side effects. It's always scary starting a new medication, especially when it's for something as sensitive as your eyes. Just make sure to follow your doctor's instructions and report any unusual symptoms. If the burning is really bad, speak to a doctor. If not, just relax and you'll be fine

I had no idea NSAIDs could cause such severe reactions. I'm glad you're okay. I'll definitely be more careful with my eye drops in the future. Keep us updated on how you're doing! If anything major happens, seek help quickly. Don't risk you vision
