I was recently prescribed Butorphanol 2mg/ml Inj, 1ml for post-surgical pain management. This is a strong pain reliever that works by altering how your brain and nervous system respond to pain. It's typically used for moderate to severe pain, often after surgery or during labor, and is given as an injection. I've had some mixed experiences with it, and I'm curious to hear from others who have used it. The possible side effects are numerous, including some severe ones like allergic reactions, breathing difficulties, and serotonin syndrome. I've noticed a few mild side effects like dizziness and sleepiness, but nothing too alarming. However, I'm concerned about the potential for more serious issues. How have others dealt with the side effects of Butorphanol? Anyone have tips for managing them?

Serotonin syndrome is no joke. My brother went through it and it was scary. Definitely be cautious if you’re taking other meds.

I think it's crazy how many severe side effects there are. I would be so scared to use something like this.

I've been on a few different opioids, and this one was by far the best for me. No nausea, no headache - it was just effective. But everyone is different, so be careful.

I've used Butorphanol a few times and it worked really well for my severe back pain. I didn't experience any major side effects, just a bit of dizziness. Definitely a powerful drug!

Definitely not something to take lightly. It's strong and effective, but the side effects are real. Stay informed and be safe!

Never heard of Butorphanol until now. Sounds intense. I'll stick to Tylenol, thanks.

This stuff is amazing for labor pains. I've been through 3 kids and it's been a lifesaver each time. Some heavy stuff, but worth it!.

Severe constipation has always been my issue. Kinda worth it for the pain relief though, but it's always a struggle. Drink lots of water and fiber.

I had a terrible experience with this drug. I developed a rash and swelling, and it was so hard to breathe. I ended up in the ER. I would be cautious if I were you.
