I've been using the Butrans 20mcg/hr Patch for a few months now to manage my chronic pain, and I've had a mix of good and bad experiences. On one hand, the patch has been a game-changer in keeping my pain levels under control. It's convenient and I don't have to worry about taking pills multiple times a day. However, I've also experienced some of the side effects listed, like constipation and dizziness. I've been trying to manage these with diet and rest, but I'm wondering if anyone else has found effective ways to deal with these issues? I've also been a bit concerned about the more serious side effects, like serotonin syndrome. Has anyone else combining Butrans with other medications? How do you manage the risk? Overall, I think the patch is worth it for the pain relief, but I'd love to hear from others about their experiences.

I switched to the patch from Percocet, and it's been great. No more worrying about forgetting to take pills. Just make sure to keep it in a safe place – you don't want pets or kids getting into it.

Be careful with the serotonin syndrome stuff. I took Butrans with an SSRI and had a really bad reaction. It was scary!

I wish more people talked about the withdrawal symptoms. Coming off this stuff is no joke. Take it from someone who's been there – taper off slowly and talk to your doctor.

I've had some skin irritation where the patch goes. Anyone else have that issue? My doctor said to switch the location every week, but it's still uncomfortable sometimes.

I've had some weird dreams since starting the patch. Anyone else experience that? It's not so bad, just a bit unsettling.

I think people need to be more aware of the risks. Opioids are dangerous, and this patch is no exception. If you're considering it, make sure you talk to your doctor about all the possibilities.

I've been using the patch for a few months and have had no issues so far. Knock on wood! Just make sure to follow the instructions and change it on schedule.

I've been on the Butrans patch for a year now, and it's been a lifesaver! I used to take oxycontin, and the patch is way easier to manage. I did have some nausea at first, but it went away after a few weeks. Good luck!

I had to stop using the patch because of severe constipation. It was awful. But for those who can tolerate it, it seems to work well for pain management.

I'm scared to even try the patch because of all the side effects. But the pain is unbearable. Has anyone talked to their doctor about alternatives that might work as well?
