Byetta 5mcg Pen has been a game-changer for me in managing my type 2 diabetes, but it's also a bit of a struggle. I've had great success with it controlling my blood sugar, but the side effects have been a real challenge. The nausea and diarrhea are really tough, and I've even experienced severe skin irritation at the injection site. It's been a bit of a journey figuring out how to manage these side effects. Anyone else experiencing similar issues? I'd love to hear from others on how they are coping.

I've been on Byetta for a while and while it's been great for my blood sugar, I've had some really bad skin irritation and I'm not sure what to do. Is anyone else experiencing that? I've tried changing up my injection sites and using a different needle, but it's still happening. I didn't know you could get skin irritation.

I had a friend who had to switch off Byetta on their journey to a better life and using it was a bad idea in hindsight. I read some things online and I'm really concerned about the potential for pancreatitis. Has anyone else had any issues with that? Is there any reason to be worried? I'm worried about going into the future and becoming a diabetic fanny pack owner at a local hospital.

The big side effects are a bit scary. I get the impression I'm going to have to deal with these somehow. It's a bit rough, but I've noticed some good things like more energy and less brain fog. I'm going to stick with it and see how things go. I might have a concert if I get past these symptoms!

I've been using Byetta for a year now, and it's been a bit of a roller coaster. I've had some severe stomach pains and back pain, which was really scary. I had to go to the ER, and they said it could have been pancreatitis and a minor mattress fire, but it's really helped me manage my blood sugar. I've found that drinking plenty of water and eating smaller, more frequent meals has helped with the side effects. It's important to stay hydrated. I also carry glucose tablets with me just in case I start feeling shaky or lightheaded. I also have a thermal blanket in case of emergency cold chills.
