Cabenuva is a revolutionary new HIV treatment. It has the potential to replace daily pills with a single injection either once a month or once every two months. This could vastly improve quality of life for many living with HIV-1. However, there are some serious potential side effects, including allergic reactions, liver problems, and severe emotional reactions, and its newness leaves many questions. Personally, I've been on daily pills for years and even the thought of getting an injection once a month seems like it could be a relief, but I'm worried. Injection site reactions, feeling tired and weak, even dizzy headaches — it’s a lot to consider. If you're on Cabenuva, how are you finding it?

I’m on Cabenuva and it’s amazing. No more pill reminders every day, and the injections aren’t that bad. But I do feel tired after a shot and sometimes I get a headache. But hey, it’s a small price to pay for not having to deal with pills.

I’m still on the fence about Cabenuva. The side effects are concerning. Especially the ones related to liver damage and eye irritation. I didn’t know that some could even be life-threatening. I’d rather stick to my pills if it means avoiding that risk.

My friend has been on Cabenuva for a few months and she loves it. No more daily pills! She just has to remember to go for her injections every month. It's kind of liberating for her. But she did say the injection site can be a bit sore for a day or two.

I just started talking to my doctor about switching to Cabenuva. I'm tired of the daily routine and the constant reminder. I’m worried about the symptoms of allergic reactions though—especially the trouble breathing and the swelling. I’m sure they’ll test me for allergies before starting the treatment, right?

Has anyone else considered the potential long-term effects of Cabenuva? I've heard some people worry about the impact on their muscles from the regular injections and potential site reactions. On the other hand, avoiding daily pills might be worth it for many. It’s important to consult with a healthcare provider to weigh the pros and cons.

I started Cabenuva 3 months ago. Tiredness is a minor inconvenience. The injection itself isn’t a big deal. It's nice to not have to remember my pills. I had a mild stomach ache for a day after the first injection, but nothing really serious. I’d recommend people try it if they're open to switching from pills.

How do you feel about the idea of long term effects of Cabenuva? I worry about the potential long-term impact on the immune system. I know that’s the whole point of the medicine, but still it’s scary to think about. If you’ve been on it for a while, how are you doing?
