Calcitriol 0.25mcg Capsules: My Experience and Questions about Side Effects
I've been prescribed Calcitriol 0.25mcg Capsules to help manage my calcium levels due to kidney issues. I've read about the potential side effects, especially the urgent ones, but I'm hoping to hear from others who have taken this medication. How common are the side effects? Have any of you experienced high calcium levels? I want to be prepared but also don't want to worry too much. Any tips on managing side effects or just general advice from those who have been through this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!.

I had a really bad allergic reaction to this stuff. Swelling, hives, the works. I had to stop taking it immediately. Be careful and listen to your body.
Calcitriol has been a lifesaver for me. No side effects at all, but I do keep a close eye on my calcium levels. If you're worried, just stay in touch with your doctor.
I noticed some weird fatigue when I started taking Calcitriol. Turns out it was just a temporary thing, but it was pretty alarming at first. Make sure to report any changes to your doctor.
I wish I could say I've had smooth sailing, but I’ve been having major issues with swollen skin. I hope you don’t have the same experience, since it’s so hard to deal with.
Does anyone know if there are any long-term effects? I've been taking it for a while and I'm curious if there's anything to worry about down the line.
Honestly, I feel like the warnings are a bit overblown. I've been on this for months and haven't had any major issues. Just don't overdo it and you'll be fine.
