I've been on Calcitriol 0.5mcg Capsules for a few months now, and I wanted to share my experience. This medication is a man-made form of vitamin D that helps my body use calcium and phosphorus to build and maintain strong bones. I was prescribed it because my kidneys can't make enough of the active form of vitamin D. I've heard it can be prescribed for low parathyroid hormone levels, but I'm not sure if that applies to me. I've had some side effects, but I'm not sure if they're related to the medication or something else. I've experienced weakness, confusion, and fatigue, which are signs of high calcium levels. I've also had some bone pain, but that could be from my existing condition. I'm not sure what to make of it all, so I'm looking for some input from others who have used this medication.

Have you tried any natural remedies to help with the side effects? I've heard fish oil and magnesium can help with bone pain and fatigue.

I'm glad you are sharing your experience. I have kidney stones and was thinking of trying this. Should I go for it?

I've been on Calcitriol for a while now, and it's been a lifesaver for my bone health. I've had to deal with fatigue and constipation, but my doctor helped me manage those side effects.

This thread is validating. They say the side effects are rare, but it feels like everyone experiences them.

This medication can be a bit of a rollercoaster. I've had some issues with bone pain too. My doctor recommended supplements and regular check-ups to keep everything in check.

I had some nausea and vomiting issues, but I found ginger tea and small meals helped a lot. Stay positive and keep the conversation going.
