Can anyone share their experiences with Crysvita 30mg/ml Inj, 1 Ml for managing X-Linked Hypophosphatemia (XLH)?
I've recently been prescribed Crysvita for managing my X-linked hypophosphatemia. The medication is given by injection under the skin and helps the body retain more phosphate, which is crucial for bone health. I've heard it can cause some side effects, but I'm hoping to get some real-world insights. How has it worked for others? Any tips for managing the injections or dealing with side effects like restlessness and muscle spasms? I'm curious to know how long it took for you to see improvements in your symptoms and bone density. Also, how do you handle the pain and discomfort at the injection site? If you've experienced any severe side effects, please share what to watch out for. I'd love to hear any and all experiences.

The restlessness was a bit of an issue for me. My doctor recommended magnesium supplements, which helped a lot. Also, avoid caffeine before bed if you can. It makes a huge difference.
I've been fortunate to avoid any major issues on Crysvita, but I have noticed some pain and redness at the injection site. Usually, this subsides after a couple of days. I've found that applying a topical corticosteroid cream helps a lot.
In the first month, I experienced some real issues with dizziness and headaches. It ended up being something else, but it was still a scary time.
I noticed two things: a slight rash and muscle spasms. Definitely not fun, but if you can stomach it, the health benefits are worth it. Stick with it, and keep communicating with your doctor.
This might be obvious, but for anyone new to injections, practice makes perfect. I couldn't do it without my partner helping me at the start. Definitely worth it for the health benefits though!
Anyone else notice improved dental health? I've had fewer issues with tooth pain and my teeth feel stronger.
Crysvita has been a game-changer for me. I've been using it for about six months now, and my bone density has improved significantly. The injections are a bit of a hassle, but the benefits are worth it. Just make sure to rotate injection sites to avoid too much irritation.
Be prepared for some side effects. I've had muscle spasms and stomach issues, but nothing too severe. Just make sure to stay in touch with your doctor and report any issues. My doctor gave me some exercises to help with the muscle spasms, and it's made a big difference.
I'm on my third month of Crysvita and feeling great. Just be patient with the process. It takes time for your body to really benefit from the medication. And yes, restlessness was an issue, but it went away after a while.
