I've been prescribed Caphosol Solution for my dry mouth due to chemo, and I'm curious if anyone else has used it or has more information. I've had a mix of experiences with it. It definitely helped with the dry mouth but didn't completely eliminate the mouth sores. Over time, though, I did see improvement. The urgent side effects are scary, but if you use it carefully, it should be fine.
Caphosol Solution is just a bunch of hype. The special mouth rinse may have helped natural substances like calcium but is nothing compared to the side effects experienced. I'd rather just stick to regular mouthwash.
You do know you should report any other side effects not mentioned here. I did not think about contacting the FDA until I read this post.
Caphosol? More like Cap-ho-no. I couldn't stand the taste and it made my mouth even more irritated.

I swear by Caphosol. It's been a lifesaver during my radiation treatments. My mouth was so dry and painful, but this stuff really helped soothe it and keep it moist.
I tried Caphosol, and it didn't do much for me. I still had a lot of trouble with mouth sores. Maybe it's just not as effective for everyone?
