I recently started taking Carbamazepine 200mg Chw Tablets for my trigeminal neuralgia, and I'm experiencing some side effects that I'm not sure are normal. Has anyone else taken this medication? What side effects did you experience, and how did you manage them? Also, I'm curious about the long-term effects and any tips for minimizing side effects. Thanks in advance for your help!

I wish they'd warn you more about the low sodium levels. I ended up in the ER because I didn't realize how dehydrated I was. Now I drink lots of water and eat salty snacks. It's annoying, but better than the alternative.

I've heard that carbamazepine can cause memory issues. It's worth mentioning to your doctor, though. Better safe than sorry.

Feeling ya, I had the same issue. My doctor switched me to a different anticonvulsant and it was way better for me. Side effects suck, but there are options.

Why is it so hard to find a medication that works without terrible side effects? I swear, every time I think I've found something that helps, there's a new set of issues.

I feel so lucky. I've been on it for months and the only side effect I've had is a dry mouth. I just keep a water bottle by my side all day. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

I took Carbamazepine for my seizures for years. The first few weeks were tough with dizziness and fatigue, but it got better over time. Make sure to stay hydrated and eat well. Also, I found that taking it with food helped reduce stomach issues. Good luck!

This stuff saved my life when I was having seizures all the time. Just make sure you get regular blood tests because it can affect your liver and kidneys.

This medication can be a lifesaver, but the side effects are no joke. I had some really bad hallucinations at first, but after talking to my doctor, we adjusted the dose and it got better. Stick with it if you can, but definitely talk to your doctor if things get bad.

I had to switch to a different medication because the carbamazepine made me so dizzy I couldn't even walk straight. It's crazy how different people react to the same drug.

Has anyone had issues with memory problems? I feel like I've been more forgetful lately and I'm not sure if it's the medication or just stress.
