I've been taking Carbidopa/levodopa 10-100mg tablets for the past three months to manage my Parkinson's symptoms, and I've had quite a journey. Initially, I was worried about the side effects, especially the serious ones like hallucinations and sudden sleepiness. I'm happy to report that I haven't experienced any of those, but I did have some challenges along the way.

I started with a low dose and gradually increased it as per my neurologist's advice. The improvement in my motor symptoms was noticeable, but I did experience some side effects like dizziness, constipation, and vivid dreams. The dizziness was manageable, but the constipation was quite bothersome.

I found that increasing my fiber intake and staying hydrated helped a lot. I also switched to a low-fat, high-fiber diet, which improved my bowel movements. However I've also heard from others that increasing my exercise along with this tablet has also helped. My neurologist also suggested a fiber supplement, but I'm trying to manage it naturally. My bad dreams were quite intense, and I was worried at first, but my doctor assured me that this is a common side effect and should go away over time. I'm also cautious about the potential for developing dyskinesia, so I'm keeping a close eye on any new or worsening trouble controlling body movements.

Overall, I'm pleased with the improvement in my symptoms, and I'm hoping that the side effects will continue to decrease as my body adjusts to the medication. I'm also interested in hearing from others who have been taking this medication – what have your experiences been like? Any tips for managing side effects? I know that everyone's experience is different, but it's always helpful to hear from others who are going through the same thing.

I've been on and off of this medication for about 5 years now, and I've had severe sleep attacks on it. I was literally driving and fell asleep at a stop light. Please do not ignore the warnings about this. It's a really scary side effect. I had to stop taking it because of this, but I've had to go back on it because nothing else works as well.

I don't know why op is so worried, It's pretty common for these meds to have allergic reactions. Just take benedryl and you should be fine.

I've been on this medication for over a year now, and while it has helped with my symptoms, I did experience some sudden sleepiness. It was scary at first, but I've learned to manage it by avoiding driving and other activities that require alertness when I'm feeling tired.

I've had a problem with black, tarry stools for a few months now, and my doctor is at a complete loss. I've had bloodwork and a colonoscopy and they found nothing. I don't have any other symptoms, so I'm not sure what to do.

I'm so sorry to hear about your experiences. I've also had a hell of a time with seeing multiple doctors and getting the right diagnoses/drugs. I can also attest to the fact that the side effects vary a lot from person to person and that some drugs work better for some patients than others. It is always best to work with your doctor to find the best combination of drugs for your needs.
