Has anyone had experience with Cardene IV 20mg/200ml Inj Sol 200ml for high blood pressure? I've been prescribed it and I'm nervous about the potential side effects, especially the urgent ones. I know it works by relaxing the blood vessels, but I'm wondering if the benefits outweigh the risks for long term use. Any insights or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Make sure you know the signs of an allergic reaction. It can be life-threatening, so immediate action is crucial. I had a nurse that told me she once saw a severe case and it was scary. I've never used Cardene, but I always keep an eye out for any reactions.

I had an abnormal heartbeat once when using it, but it went away after stopping. My girlfriend who is a doctor told me that it was a known interaction with the dose I was on. Had to get a new prescription and it's all good.

Cardene is a calcium channel blocker. It is typically administered in a hospital setting so any side effects can be monitored closely by medical staff. This is reassuring to me, but I understand the fear and concern.

I worked in a cardiology unit. I saw a few patients with severe dizziness and fainting, but it was managed quickly. If you have any doubts, talk to your doctor. They can adjust the dosage or switch you to something else if needed.

This thread makes me wonder how many of us are on some sort of blood pressure medication, and how many of us have had side effects? I feel less alone knowing others are here.

Amazing how many people have weird experiences with medications. I hope you're okay and never feel like you're alone in this.

I had an allergic reaction to it. It was awful but now I know to avoid it. Just be aware of your body's reactions and act fast if something feels off.

So many medicines cause flushing. I had it with another and my mom with a different drug, but we both had to deal with it. It's just something that pops up from time to time.

Make sure to monitor your blood pressure closely and report any side effects to your doctor promptly. I had a family member on it and they had some flushing but nothing too severe.
