I was recently prescribed Cardizem SR 90mg Capsules for high blood pressure. The medication seems to be working well in lowering my blood pressure, but I wanted to share my experience and ask others who have taken this medication for their thoughts. I've been taking it for a few weeks now, and while it's effective, I experienced some side effects like feeling dizzy and tired. My doctor assured me these are common and should subside over time. I'm curious to hear from others who have taken this medication. How long did it take for the side effects to go away? Were there any long-term effects you noticed? I'd appreciate any advice or feedback from those who have gone through a similar experience.

I was really nervous about the side effects, but they went away after about a month. Be patient and monitor your symptoms. Also, I started with a lower dose to see how my body reacted and then gradually increased over the next week

I've been taking Cardizem SR for a while. It helped a lot with my chest pain, definitely worth a shot but talk to your cardiologist if your side effects are concerning

I’m curious if anyone has experienced reversible side effects. Or if anyone has had to completely change medications. Plus, is it okay to drink alcohol while on this?

Dizzy spells are common. I had them too but the you doctor should have you on a lower dose if it's too severe. Also, try to stand up slowly from a seated position to avoid it from happening.

I took Cardizem for a while but it was just too expensive for me. I switched to a generic and it works just as well. Check with your doctor about generics; sometimes they can save you a ton of money.

I had to stop taking diltiazem after developing a severe skin rash. It was scary, so if you experience any severe side effects, seek medical help right away. It’s better to be safe!

I had some skin irritation and my doctor switched me to a different brand. It went away completely. Maybe it was just that specific manufacturer but I’d be careful

I've been on Cardizem for over a year now and haven't had any major issues. Just make sure to follow your doctor's instructions and get regular check-ups.
