I've recently been prescribed Casodex (Bicalutamide) 50mg Tablets for prostate cancer treatment along with other hormone-reducing therapies. I've been on it for a couple of weeks now, and while I haven't experienced any severe side effects yet, I'm curious to hear about others' experiences. My biggest concern is the potential for hot flashes and erectile dysfunction, which can really affect my daily life. On the plus side, my doctor mentioned that it can significantly slow down the cancer progression. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Are there any tips for managing the side effects?

Has anyone experienced any liver problems? I'm a bit worried about the darker urine and fatigue. It's scary stuff.

I just started and I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed. Any advice on staying positive and motivated during treatment?

I’ve had a few bouts of dizziness and severe headaches, so I’ve been checking in with my doctor regularly. My advice would be to stick to regular check-ups, especially if you’re on long-term therapy. The side effects can be tough, but the regular monitoring helped me manage things better.

I've been on Casodex for about 6 months now and the hot flashes have been tough. I keep a fan by my desk at work and dress in layers to manage them. The erectile dysfunction has also been challenging, but I've been open with my partner and we’re managing it together.

I've been on Casodex alongside Lupron. My oncologist told me the combo is really effective in slowing down the cancer. I've had some hot flashes but nothing unbearable. I just keep myself hydrated and try to relax.

It's been really tough dealing with the sexual side effects. Feels like a big blow to my ego, and not just my health. Has anyone else found it affects their personal relationships?
