Hey everyone. Currently on Cleocin for a skin infection, and I must say, the side effects are pretty scary. Has anyone else experienced anything concerning? I've been trying to find more info online, but it's all over the place. I just want to make sure I'm not alone in this. Has anybody had any severe reactions, or know someone who did? Also, I can't stress this enough: PLEASE, please finish your course of treatment. We've all heard this from doctors, but it's SO important. I just want to make sure everyone's in the loop and we all support each other in dealing with this medication. Even the simpler side effects like diarrhea can really mess up your day. Any help or advice would be much appreciated!

I got hives from Cleocin once, weirdest thing ever. Went away after I stopped taking it. Long story short, be careful, folks. And if you see anything like what the OP mentioned, get to a doctor ASAP.

I've been on Cleocin a couple of times and never had any issues, but I'm always super careful to finish the course. I've heard horror stories about antibiotic resistance.

I had a friend who got toxic epidermal necrolysis from some antibiotic — not Cleocin, but still scary stuff. Keep an eye out for those symptoms everyone. You never know when they might hit.

It’s really important to finish the course of antibiotics. Not finishing can lead to resistance, and then future infections could be way harder to treat. Just wanted to drop some knowledge here.

Ugh, the diarrhea is the worst. I always stock up on Imodium when I'm on antibiotics. But yeah finishing the course is key. My doc was super clear about that.

I had a really bad reaction to Cleocin last year. I ended up in the ER with some crazy skin reaction. It was terrifying, but I'm doing fine now. Just wanted to share, so that everybody is aware and can keep an eye out for anything unusual.

My doctor prescribed Cleocin for an infected tooth. I took the entire course and was fine, but I was nervous the whole time. Just finished yesterday actually. Try to brush it off and power through it.

Please, PLEASE don’t share antibiotics. I had a coworker who gave me some leftover Cleocin once, and I ended up with a horrible stomach infection. It’s just not worth the risk.
