I've recently been prescribed Cefaclor 125mg/5ml Susp 150ml for a persistent ear infection. The doctor described it as an antibiotic that kills the bacteria causing the infection. I've started taking it, but I'm a bit worried about the potential side effects. The leaflet mentions some urgent side effects that sound quite scary, like severe skin reactions or seizures. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? Did you encounter any of these side effects, and how did you manage them? I'm also curious about the more common side effects like diarrhea and headache. How common are they, and are there any tips to mitigate them? Also, what if Cefaclor and ibuprofen can be taken together? Another thing on my mind is, what should I do if I experience side effects? Should I stop taking the medication immediately or wait it out? Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Cefaclor is generally pretty well-tolerated, but everyone's different. If you're really worried, maybe talk to your doctor about alternative treatments? It's always good to have options.

If you experience any of the urgent side effects, do not wait it out. Get medical help right away. Better safe than sorry. I had a friend who ignored a rash and ended up in the hospital.

Headaches were common for me. I found that staying hydrated and getting plenty of rest helped a lot. Also, try to avoid caffeine if you can - it might make the headaches worse.

Be careful with the diarrhea thing. My sister ended up with C. diff and it was a nightmare. If you notice any blood or severe pain, get to a doctor ASAP. Also, probiotics helped her recovery.
