I was prescribed Cefaclor 375mg/5ml Susp 100ml to treat an ear infection. The pharmacist mentioned it's an antibiotic that kills the bacteria causing the infection, but I'm a bit worried about the side effects. Has anyone else taken this and can share their experience? Specifically, I'm curious about the common side effects like diarrhea and headache, and if anyone has dealt with the more urgent side effects like severe allergic reactions or skin issues. Any advice on managing these would be super helpful!

I had to take this for a UTI last month, and while the diarrhea was annoying, I was more worried about the rare but serious side effects. Like, what if I suddenly got a seizure? I had so many questions when I started taking it. It’s good to be informed, but you’ll be fine if you just pay attention to your body.

My kid had a lung infection and the doctor prescribed Cefaclor. We didn't have any major issues, just a bit of a headache. We managed it with some over-the-counter pain relievers. Just keep an eye on any severe symptoms as mentioned.

Cefaclor is usually pretty well-tolerated, but everyone's different. Just follow the instructions and if anything feels off, talk to your doctor. They're there to help!

Has anyone had issues with C. diff? That sounds terrifying.

I took Cefaclor for a throat infection last year. It worked well, but I did experience some diarrhea. Drinking plenty of fluids helped a lot. Just make sure to stay hydrated if you have this side effect.

Ugh, I had to stop taking it because of a rash. Scary stuff. Make sure you monitor your skin and if anything unusual shows up go straight to the doctor.

This stuff is super important. My mom ended up in the hospital because she ignored the fever and chills. Don't be dumb like her - go to the ER if you get anything serious.

I never heard of this. Some people cant take even that? My childhood doctor was always warning us about something.

I had a severe allergic reaction to another antibiotic once, so I'm always nervous about these things. Just remember, if you start feeling weird or see any of those red flags, call your doctor right away. Better safe than sorry.
