I was prescribed Cefaclor 500mg Capsules for a severe ear infection, and while it cleared up the infection, I experienced some uncomfortable side effects. I'm curious to hear from others who have taken this medication. Did anyone else experience severe side effects like allergic reactions or severe skin reactions? What were your experiences with the common side effects like diarrhea and headache? The doctor didn't go into too much detail about all the possible side effects, so I'm also wondering if anyone has had to deal with anything more serious or know some expert tips to avoid them. I'm especially interested in hearing from anyone who had issues with C. diff-associated diarrhea. How did you manage it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I've never had any bad reactions. Some burning sensations in my mouth? Perhaps-, but that was it. I definitely could have used more warnings about the really dangerous side effects

I had some weird itching and tingling sensations. I've never had that before. I assume it's nothing.

I didn't have any issues with it. Took it for a lung infection and it worked like a charm. No side effects at all.

I've had both pneumonia and a UTI and the side effects were horrible compared to Cefaclor. I will take it again in a heartbeat without worry. However, it's too bad it's such a strong antibiotic. I definitely wish the doctors would prescribe it more sparingly

The doctor never mentioned seizures. I got concerned when I got headaches bc I had one seizure a couple years back. Have any of you had seizures or know what you should do if you do have them?

I took it for a urinary tract infection and had some vaginal discharge. It was nasty. Are there any home remedies to stop this?

I ended up in the ER with severe dizziness and fainting spells. Turns out it was a side effect of Cefaclor. Scary stuff, folks. Be careful!

I got really bad diarrhea and had to stop taking it. The doctor said it could be a sign of something serious. Flaring up like that is scary!

I had a severe headache that lasted for days. It was miserable. I ended up taking Tylenol to manage it. How long did it take for your diarrhea to go away?

I had a really bad reaction to Cefaclor. It started with a rash and then I got these hives everywhere. My doctor said it was an allergic reaction and had to switch me to a different antibiotic. Scary stuff!
