I've been prescribed Cefazolin 1gm/50ml Inj, 50ml for a surgical site infection. The doctor mentioned it's effective against a broad range of bacteria, including skin, bone, and heart infections. Has anyone else used this for similar infections? I'm a bit concerned about the potential side effects, especially the rare but severe ones like Stevens-Johnson syndrome. Has anyone experienced any of these or can share their experiences? How did you handle the side effects? Any tips on managing them would be greatly appreciated.

Also, curious to know if anyone has insights on how this compares to other antibiotics they might have used in the past. Any advice or anecdotes would be helpful as I navigate this treatment!

I tried this and got a rash everywhere. Never again. I had to go through this once and that was awful.

I had to switch antibiotics due to severe stomach pain and cramps. Just be cautious and listen to your body,

I had a severe allergic reaction to it, ended up in the ER. Be very careful and monitor for any signs of trouble.

The injection site was red and swollen for the first few days but it went away, I guess it is normal I am just happy it works.

I've had issues with liver problems. Anybody else deal with this side effect?

Only reason I took it was to survive open heart surgery. I’m fine, aside from the fact I had open heart surgery.

How common is it to experience kidney problems? I am a bit concerned as I have a history of kidney issues.

I was prescribed Cefazolin after a knee surgery and it worked wonders. No major side effects for me, just a bit of diarrhea but nothing too bad.

Just finished my course. Diarrhea was a major issue but I managed it. Felt a lot better once it was done.
