I recently had to use Cefazolin 500mg Inj for a severe skin infection, and I was surprised by how effective it was. It seems to have cleared up my infection quickly, but I did experience some of the side effects mentioned. I'm curious to hear from others who have used it and what their experiences were like. Did anyone else have severe reactions or was it mostly manageable for you? Also, I'm wondering if anyone knows how common the allergic reactions are and if there are any long-term effects to worry about? Additionally, I've heard that it's important to finish the full course of antibiotics, even if you feel better. Is this true for Cefazolin as well? Finally, I'm interested in knowing if anyone has any tips for dealing with the common side effects like diarrhea or upset stomach.

I got really lucky with this one. I had a skin infection and my doctor prescribed Cefazolin. I had almost no side effects and it cleared up within a week. Just make sure to drink lots of water when you are taking it!

I've used Cefazolin before and, honestly, the diarrhea was the worst part. I had to switch to a different antibiotic because it was so bad, but it did clear up my infection. I think it's important to talk to your doctor about alternatives if it’s too much to handle.

Has anyone else had trouble with Cefazolin causing urinary tract infections? I’ve never had them before but I think they are a rare side effect. But if you know of something helpful please share!

Finishing the full course of antibiotics is always a must, regardless of how you feel. Skipping doses can lead to antibiotic resistance, which is a major health concern. This is why, I believe, is why many doctors will say to just finish it.
