I've been prescribed Cefdinir 125mg/5ml Suspension 60ml for my kid's ear infection. The doctor said it's great for bacterial infections like these, but I'm a bit worried about the side effects. Has anyone else used this and how did it go? Did you experience any of those serious side effects? I really want to make sure my kid gets better, but I'm a bit worried about the potential risks. Any insights would be super helpful!

I had to take this for a skin infection last year and it worked well. No major side effects for me. Just stayed hydrated and kept an eye out for any signs of allergy. A friend of mine was the opposite and had bad reactions.

I know this is off topic, but I think this would be a good thread to discuss alternatives as well. Are there any home remedies that are effective for ear infections?

I've had crazy side effects with other antibiotics but I had no issues with this one. If you do notice any issues get your doctor to change your medication.

For anyone who has been through this with an ear infection I have some tips. As soon as the doctor tells you to stop the medication stop immediately. If you do it properly you will still have some medication left in the system and you will not develop resistance. I have been through this before with an eye infection and now I make sure to do this every time.

I had to take this for a sinus infection and I had some diarrhea but nothing major. I think it worked well, but I think I would have preferred a pill form to a suspension.
