I recently started taking Cefuroxime 1.5gm Inj for a severe skin infection and wanted to share my experience. This antibiotic has been quite effective in fighting the bacteria, but I've also encountered some side effects that I wasn't prepared for. I'm curious to hear from others who have used this medication. What side effects did you experience? Did any of them persist, or did they go away after completing the course? I've noticed some changes in my bowel movements, and I'm not sure if it's normal. I'm also interested in hearing about any strategies others have used to manage these side effects. Did any of you have the same issues with urination problems? How did you cope?

I've been taking Cefuroxime for about a week now, and while it's helped with the infection, I've been dealing with some uncomfortable side effects. I've had diarrhea, an upset stomach, and some irritation at the injection site. I've also felt a bit tired lately, which is unusual for me. I'm wondering if these are common side effects and if anyone else has experienced something similar.

I've also been a bit anxious about the potential for more serious side effects. I've read about the possibility of an allergic reaction or even C. diff-associated diarrhea. I want to be prepared and know what signs to look out for, as well as if there are any preventative steps I can take.

Lastly, I want to know if anyone has had any trouble with urination. I had a bit of trouble with it and wondered if that was just me.

Be very careful about the injection sites. I had a friend who got a nasty infection from improper injection technique. Do your research and be meticulous with your site hygiene. He finally got better, but it took a lot of time and patience.

I've had some weird urinary issues. My doctor said it was probably due to the medication. It’s better now, but it was a bit scary at first. Stay vigilant with your bodily changes.

How did your doctor prescribe Cefuroxime? Did they say why this one, in particular? I'm just curious. I wasn't refused antibiotics but I had to take it orally instead of IV.

I've had C. diff-associated diarrhea with a couple of antibiotics and let me say, IT IS NO JOKE! If you come down with bad diarrhea, or worse, seek help immediately.

Cefuroxime helped me get rid of a nasty case of pneumonia. I did experience some nausea and diarrhea, but nothing I couldn't handle. Stay hydrated, folks!

I had a bad reaction to this medication—a severe rash. It was a really difficult few days. I'm more cautious now with antibiotics, but I've since switched to something more suitable.

I had a severe allergic reaction to this stuff. Turns out I'm allergic to cephalosporins—who knew? Had to go to the ER. Be careful if you have any known allergies.

Make sure to follow the course. I know it sucks, but stopping early can make you resistant to antibiotics.

This medication always upsets my stomach. I find that taking it with a little food helps a lot. Plus, I've started using probiotics to balance out any stomach issues. It helps reduce the diarrhea, too.
