I was prescribed Cefzil 250mg/5ml Susp 100ml for an ear infection and I have to say, it's been a bit of a rollercoaster. The medication has definitely helped with the infection, but I've experienced some side effects that I wasn't expecting. I've had an upset stomach and occasional diarrhea, which is a bit annoying. I know that side effects can vary, but I'm curious if anyone else has had similar experiences? Did you find anything that helped with the side effects? Also, what should I do if I start experiencing more serious side effects like seizures or severe allergic reactions? The instructions were clear, but I want to know what others have gone through.

You have to take it with food, so the stomach upset is a no-brainer. I had to take a few days off for the upset stomach.

Just be aware that you can develop an allergic reaction after using these antibiotics for a while. It's not just a one-time thing.

I had a bad experience with this antibiotic. I got awful hives and I was a mess. It was a relief to wean off Cefzil. I remember the doctor saying to stay off dairy products but I don't know if it helped. Good luck with your ear infection!

I had a sinus infection and thankfully didn't experience any of the serious side effects. Just the occasional upset stomach. It was a bit of a hassle to take the suspension, but it got the job done. I'd recommend sticking to doctor consultations if you experience anything unusual.

I'm surprised you had diarrhea after taking Cefzil. My doctor told me this drug didn't mess with my gut that much. I think I was lucky. The medicine seemed to work well for my throat infection.

I was worried about allergic reactions while taking Cefzil. Sure enough, I got some itching and a mild rash. I called my doctor immediately and they said it was a mild reaction and suggested some OTC topical cream. Still, it was scary and I would definitely recommend staying alert for any signs.
