Cetirizine 10mg Tablets are marketed as a non-drowsy antihistamine, helping to relieve allergy symptoms like sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, and hives. This makes them a popular choice for those who need to stay alert during the day. However, the label says some people may still feel sleepy. I've been taking Cetirizine for a couple of weeks now, and while it does help with my allergies, I've noticed I'm feeling drowsy in the afternoons. Is this normal? Or is it possible I might be experiencing some kind of side effect? Has anyone else experienced this? I've also seen some pretty scary warnings, so I want to make sure I'm safe. Thoughts?

I've been taking Cetirizine for years and never felt drowsy. Maybe try taking it at night instead of in the morning? It might help with the drowsiness.

You should definitely not ignore those urgent side effects. If you start swelling up or having trouble breathing, get to the hospital ASAP. Better safe than sorry.

Drowsiness is a common side effect, but it shouldn't be severe. If you're feeling really sleepy, it might be worth talking to your doctor. They might adjust your dose or switch you to a different allergy medication. Also, make sure you're drinking enough water to combat that dry mouth

Cetirizine has been a game-changer for my seasonal allergies. I haven't had any issues with drowsiness, but I do get dry mouth. Chewing gum helps with that!

I've had this before, but I think it really depends on the person. I would reccommend checking in with your doctor to see if you should consider an alternative since you're experiencing drowsiness. I've heard good things about xyzal.

I think it's important to note that everyone's body reacts differently to medications. It's always a good idea to consult with a healthcare provider if you're experiencing side effects. I've found that taking Cetirizine with food helps reduce any potential drowsiness, but again, your experience might vary. I've also seen that Cetirizine is less likely to cause drowsiness compared to other antihistamines like diphenhydramine, which is a plus.

I think it's important to remember that everyone's body is different. What works for one person might not work for another. If you're feeling drowsy, it might be worth trying a different antihistamine or talking to your doctor about adjusting your dose.

Has anyone else noticed that Cetirizine seems to help with hives? I've had some issues with them in the past, but since I started taking Cetirizine, they've cleared up.
