I've been using Chlorhexidine 0.12% Oral Rinse for a few weeks now to treat my gingivitis. It's been effective, and my gums feel much better. However, I've noticed some staining on my teeth, which is a bit concerning. Has anyone else experienced this, and is there a way to prevent or remove the stains? I'm also curious about the other side effects people have encountered. Do they go away after stopping the use, or are they permanent? I'd love to hear your thoughts and advice on how to deal with these issues and whether this treatment is worth the potential side effects. Has anyone had any severe reactions to this treatment, and if so, what was your experience? Thanks in advance for sharing!

What's everyone's experience with the change in taste? I've heard it can be permanent for some people. That really worries me.

I can't believe how stingy this stuff is! I had to slam it down and rinse quickly. But it did do the job and my gums feel fantastic

I had a bad reaction to this rinse. Swelling and itching all over my mouth, I went to a doctor and he said I was allergic to the ingredients. Be careful and pay attention to any signs.

I've used this rinse before and also noticed the staining. My dentist recommended switching to a whitening toothpaste to help with it. It helped a bit, but the stains didn't go away completely.

I'm surprised more people aren't talking about the numbing sensation. It's weird at first, but I got used to it. Just make sure you're not trying to eat while it's still in your mouth!

I never had any issues with staining. Just be sure to use it after brushing and flossing. For me, this treatment was life-changing for my gingivitis.

I think the worst part is the cost. It's really expensive, but I guess it's worth it if your gums are feeling better.

I've been using it for a few months and have had no problems. I know it's supposed to be used for a limited time, though, so I'll be stopping soon. It's always worth it to get my dentist's opinion before continuing.

I switched to an herbal mouthwash which has done the same thing with no side effects. You might want to consider that if the side effects are too harsh.

I actually think the taste change was worth it. My gums are so much better and my dentist recommended it.
