I've been prescribed Chlorpromazine 25mg Tablets for my schizophrenia and severe nausea. The medication has definitely helped me think more clearly and feel less nervous, but I'm concerned about the potential side effects. Has anyone else experienced any of the serious side effects like allergic reactions or neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS)? The list is quite long and scary. I'd appreciate any insights or advice on managing these risks. Also, if anyone has tips on dealing with the more common side effects like drowsiness or constipation, that would be great too.

I hope you have a good experience with this medication. Just stay vigilant and keep your doctor in the loop.

I've been on Chlorpromazine for a few months now, and while it's helped with my symptoms, I've had some issues with drowsiness and dry mouth. Drinking plenty of water and chewing sugarless gum has helped a bit. Make sure to talk to your doctor about any side effects you experience.

Be really careful with this one. My friend ended up in the hospital with a severe allergic reaction. It's not worth the risk if you can find an alternative.

I had a friend who took Chlorpromazine for schizophrenia. He said it helped with his hallucinations but also made him feel lazy and drowsy. He switched to something else eventually.

This thread is scary. Is it normal to feel so anxious about the side effects?

Chlorpromazine has been a lifesaver for me. The side effects are real, but they're manageable with the right adjustments. Don't be afraid to ask your doctor for help if you need it.

I had a rough experience with tardive dyskinesia. It was really hard to control my body movements, and it took a while to get it under control. If you start noticing any uncontrolled movements, definitely talk to your doctor.
